Merchants' Hall
Bristol's most prestigious wedding venue

With a rich heritage including visits from Prime Ministers and members of the Royal Family, Merchants’ Hall can be made available exclusively to your party during the day, seating up to 100 guests for your wedding breakfast and celebrations.  With a full wedding licence, your special day can easily be accommodated in one place.

A historic and beautiful setting

The splendid entrance hall leads past a magnificent sweeping double staircase into a number of beautiful rooms, including a spacious Reception Room with a Steinway Piano, gilt-framed paintings and antique furniture. Large windows flood the room with natural light during the day while glittering chandeliers add to the romance of the occasion during the evening.

The Dining Room

The grand Dining Room is an impressive space which comfortably seats up to 100 guests who will dine beneath 18th century Georgian chandeliers. There are a number of different seating options and we will work with you to come up with your ideal arrangement.

The Garden Terrace

French doors lead from the Dining Room onto a raised stone terrace overlooking mature gardens, beautifully landscaped to provide a stunning setting for photographs. On your special day, the Hall and gardens are exclusively yours to enjoy with your family and friends.

Your own Butler and Toastmaster

No grand Victorian hall would be complete without the services of a Butler and Merchants’ Hall is no exception. Our friendly and professional resident Butler will welcome you and your guests and ensure they feel pampered throughout the day. With a wealth of experience in organising weddings and civil partnerships, our Butler will support you in the build-up to your big day as well as during the event itself to ensure that no detail is overlooked. He will also act as toastmaster and will do his utmost to ensure that events unfold seamlessly. A footman is also available if required, to greet your guests and direct car parking.
